Air gunners ?? advise on crosman

i have a 22 crosman 2240

im going to upgrade to steel breech eventually as of now it doesnt have any rivets to attach a scope is there any cheapish red dot sights that could clip onto the barrel

insulation or duck tape!

You can buy clamp on scope rails for these, they're called pro blocks.

I think I still have a set knocking about somewhere.

What do you intend to use the gun for, with a red dot mounted?

I have fitted several Gmac steel breeches on guns and they are tons better than the plastic ones, great service from Gmac too.

Be careful with the barrel clamp type, they are not uniform with regards to engineering tolerances and can sometimes pull the barrel up and away from the bottom tube and damage the standard breech right where the barrel enters it.
