monkey104 Â Â 10 #25 Posted April 23, 2014 Flipping heck! The op was only after an opinion. I am pretty worldly wise but I would walk away from a car where the seller cannot provide a log book. I dare say most people would. You on the other hand have seem to have some insight in to the motor trade and have a differing opinion. As Patrick Swayze once said "Opinions differ". Dardandec   32 #26 Posted April 23, 2014 1. Nope it was just it went on for ages. The point was there is nothing compulsory to register a logbook loan anywhere. If you find yourself subject to an unregistered logbook loan then theres not a lot you can do.  If the vehicle is HPI'd you are covered up to the value of 52 grand I believe, so yes there is something you can do, if its HPI'd  In this instance i'd been more concerned primarily that the vehicle was stolen.
