Fridays Excel teaser

Just a little teaser to see who's awake.

You have an Excel spreadsheet with a range of cells that hold numerical values. Let's call the range DATA.

Using a formula, how can you tell if all the values in DATA are the same?

Using a formula, how can you tell if all the values in DATA are the same?

The standard deviation (STDEV function) of them will be zero.

Hmmm... OK here's my guess then...

if MAX(DATA1 : DATAn) = MIN(DATA1 : DATAn) then all values in DATA are equal. :suspect:

Well done Mr Bloke! That's what I had in mind.

As DATA fully qualifies the range, the formula is much simpler:

IF MIN(DATA) = MAX(DATA) ........
