alchresearch   214 #27 Posted September 12, 2016 "The Bridge", "Trapped" and Life on Mars are my favourites.  Broadchurch was OK for the first series.
 Share this content via...
Santo   10 #28 Posted September 13, 2016 Man alive Spender!!! I'd forgotten about him, all Curley hair and stylish sleeper earring (I had one of them) and poloneck tops (I had one of them too). His sidekick was quite funny but I suspect the show would die on its arse if repeated now. Very very much of its time. Just noticed your mum watched it. I feel old.  I checked on Amazon. Spender is not available to stream or on DVD. Not even second hand on VHS!  But the Robert Carlyle episode of Cracker is on Amazon Player so I will get that. rudds1 Â Â 102 #30 Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) I used to like watching the gentle touch and I've noticed nobody has mentioned frost as a show nor Juliet bravo nor the Sweeney Edited October 17, 2016 by rudds1
 Share this content via...

Glennis   15 #34 Posted October 25, 2016 I remember that espisode - excellent part played by Robert Carlyle - seriously evil.   I've never seen it. But oddly I have caught an episode of the US version which is almost a carbon copy of it. The Robert Carlyle episode is said to be amazing. He's a football hooligan or something?  ---------- Post added 10-09-2016 at 13:43 ----------   I've watched both and enjoyed both but I can't say I loved them.  Does Fargo count? That's great.  But the best, by a long, long way, peerless in its breadth and scope, a monumental, towering achievement of TV, without equal is The Bill. Just kidding, The Wire.
