We stayed on at Millsands and Peel house intill 99 then got moved to shepcote Lane until we all got made redundant in 2002. did you keep in touch with any of the lads who made the move to Samlesbury. I still have contact with andy claxton. I have seen Menzies, steph and one or two others but folk have dissappeared. they were fab times - the fun we had! xenia   11 #7 Posted May 18, 2009 from 1963 I worked for Porter Wright & Co originally on Water Lane, then the offices moived to Millsands and the warehouse to Chesterfield Road. They were a subsidiary of Wiley and Co later Stowells of Chelsea. All subsidiaries of Tennants then Whitbreads  Characters included Ernest Simpson, Billy Colk, Jack Ford, (MD of Porter Wright was Max Cockayne).  Lovely people great memories.
