philly123 Â Â 10 #1 Posted November 11, 2015 Just wondered if there are any forum users who on on this new "pay as you use" system. Our area is due to have the meters installed early next year and we only hear the good news stories from established sites. If you are on this new tariff can you explain the good and bad to us please, it would be a great help and much appreciated, thank you
 Share this content via...
Yosser   10 #2 Posted February 8, 2016 It would be great to have some feedback on the new district heating costs, how it works, etc.
 Share this content via...

It seems quite expensive at the moment, I do hope this evens out during the summer months. Also it does not seem as hot as before, perhaps less pipes under the floor? It really seems to struggle to reach a reasonable temperature.
 Share this content via...

Shabbas   10 #5 Posted February 12, 2017 Are you still a Secure Tenant (Part IV of Housing Act 1985) or are you a leaseholder under RTB?  Would the latter have the right to install their own boiler and opt out from the district heating? Jeffrey Shaw   83 #6 Posted February 16, 2017 Would the latter have the right to install their own boiler and opt out from the district heating? Yes, subject to what the Transfer/Conveyance/Lease prescribes. There's usually a Disconnection Charge and a Disconnection Loss Charge. The latter covers loss of future profit of the council.
