johnsbucket 10 #1 Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Days out when I was a kid, Was a trip to Skipsea or maybe Brid, Mother would be playing prize bingo, Usually three cards 10 pence a go, Ghastly prizes one win or more, Were on a shelf by the door, As kids we would get a pound for slots, Make it last because that’s your lot, After an hour the money would be spent, Come on mum it’s time we went, Stood there with a butty of marmite and cucumber Shush she would say, I will miss a number, Can I have Ice cream my brother would ask? No have a cup of tea from out of the flask, We would sit for nearly two hours or more, Knock at the door number twenty four, The caller I think Stuart was his name, Any more players we are about to start a new game, Go and see what prizes you can get for three wins, Are you ready ladies eyes down look in, Ready to start then we will begin again, Your first number Downing Street number ten, Imagine after an hour as kids we were so bored, Hated our trips or days out as they were called. johnsbucket Edited April 19, 2014 by johnsbucket
 Share this content via...
