donnysp   10 #1 Posted October 22, 2014 I had Speedfit UFH installed a couple of years ago. There have been various problems due to poor installation, but we seem to be down to the last one: The manifold leaks when it cools down.  So about once a week the boiler cuts out because the pressure is too low. I keep having to top the system up, which is not doing it any good either.  I tried tightening the connections on the manifold but it still leaks. The installer refuses to do anything about it because I tried tightening the nuts myself -- it's all my fault apparently!  Does anyone have experience of these particular manifolds? To be honest I'd be happy to just have it replaced -- I'm sick of the damn thing!  Cheers, Duncan
 Share this content via...

donnysp   10 #3 Posted October 22, 2014 Clarification: it's leaking on the large threaded flow and return couplings. The pushfit connections are fine.  I have a feeling that it's leaking from where the couplings are attached to the manifold -- in the factory I mean, not where you screw your fitting on.  Also, the threads have PTFE on them.  ---------- Post added 22-10-2014 at 13:24 ----------  Here's a photo showing where one of the leaks is from:
 Share this content via...
