Just finished work and ready for tea, Wonder what our lass is cooking for me, She might surprise me with a bit of steak, Can’t seem to smell that as I go through the gate, Evening love, how’s been your day, Alrite in strange kinda way, What’s for tea love I'm one hungry man? Sausages and egg and beans from a can, Does the want coffee or tea she also did mutter, White or brown bread with or without butter, No frills teas then are you doing some chips? Were the next words to come from my lips? Suppose so she says one egg or two? I’ve cooked all these sausages here for you, Four sausages, chips with egg and beans, White bread and butter and a nice cup of tea, Go get washed up it won’t be long, I’ll even put the television on, Grand our lass looks rite after me, Who wants steak?
