This blonde beauty a stunning actress,

She became iconic Marilyn was her name,

A string of high profile lovers but they could not tame,

Soon she became a Hollywood resident,

Even sang Happy Birthday to the then president,

Her face would be on every billboard page,

Paparazzi would follow her in a frenzied rage,

Christened by her mother Norma Jeane,

Was what she was called before she became a Broadway queen,

Yet fortune and fame has its price,

Press releases sometimes not always nice,

Some even predicted her eventual doom,

And sadly it all ended in a hotel room,

Left alone in her desperate hour,

She was found naked on the floor, near the shower,

No notes no letters in this apparent suicide,

Even in death there was still nowhere to hide,

A sad and twisted demise of this once screen legend

Thirty six years old when her life came to an end.
