phoppy1 Â Â 10 #5 Posted December 12, 2012 Lighten up ,i have lived at Winco for 38 happy years and call it Wincobank not "Upper Meadowhall" like some of the Jenkin /Sanstone residents do, the comment about lack of pubs etc.was made in sad reflection of the down turn in community meeting places. It is a known fact that from the day Winco workingmans closed many of the members didn't venture out again at night, To me it will still be known has my village. I've heard "upper wincobank" and "lower wincobank"....simply because the two communities are separated by a bloody great hill called Newman Road. I lived there for 28 years. Left last year.
