I need car help >>

This morning I was driving to work, went to park up to go to Sainsburys on Machon Bank road, tried to start it after but nothing happened.. key turns over but nothing

Dashboard lights work, radio works etc.. nothing when I turn the key?

Any ideas? Do I just need jump starting?

Not enough info- is the engine being turned over by the starter, is it petrol or diesel, and what car is it?

Could be loose starter motor connection.

it's a 03 corsa, petrol, manual

i dont know an awful lot about cars, if i turn it all the way normally you get a little resistance and it starts, but now nothing, its like turning as if im cutting butter?

your key barrel may have broken it happens on vauxhalls

friend had one done on astra cost 50 pound call out and 50 for him to do barrel,he did it while he was there

Does sound like the barrel, I had to replace one on an escort, got a good replacement from a scrapyard, just a different ign. key.

What he did he took all the tumblers from your barrel and replaced them into another barrel so you had the same key,

when your ignition is switch of do you still have any dash lights on still

it may not be the barrel,

do you mean if i turn the ignition? i can turn it and everything lights up and works (fans, lights, radio) as it should
