stpetre   12 #25 Posted July 22, 2016 ----------------- Hi Stpetre, I think i got the firms name wrong i think it was Dunford and Elliots. I also remember Fletchers but the rolling mills was further up and opposite side. Thanks for that, Brian  Yes Brian, Dunford and Elliott it was. There were two Forge/Mill facilities and there both opposite the Brewery and the bottom of Limestone Cottage Lane. One was called 'Claywheels Lane Rolling Mill' the other was 'Niagara Forge'(which was nearer Penistone Road). I forget which one was D&E.  ---------- Post added 22-07-2016 at 22:04 ----------  -------------------- Hi Stpetre, Can you remember Dunford and Hatfields rolling mills on Claywheels Lane, i worked there i the 60s on shifts hard graft them days but money wern't bad.  I thought you worked at Firth-Brown's or is that someone else from the 'Grimesthorpe' thread ?
