Where shall I stick my peacock feathers?

Recommended Posts

I'm spring cleaning... yes it's September I know, but in Spring I had to pack my life into boxes for the refurb so I'm doing it now.

It's a big job this time as I'm unpacking the last of my boxes and rearranging the room to make it a bit more special and homely.

I have a dozen peacock feathers.

I also have a one year old manic tom cat that hates me and anything that I like.

He especially hates my peacock feathers and wants to kill them... badly.

I've tried intertwining them into my twig lights... this looked beautiful, but has ended in disaster as the twig light is broken, the feathers are not as pretty as they were and the cat looks very pleased with himself.

So I'm at a loss.

Other than gluing them to the ceiling, where is a girl to stick her feathers?

Tsk, shan't bother trying to be helpful in future.

*Dozy strops back into the kitchen to do some more mucking out.*

I always thought it was bad luck to have peacock feathers in a house.

I had some beautiful silk flowers and a couple of lovely houseplants until I got 2 kittens.............

I put the surviving silk flowers away and stuck the houseplants outside for the summer. I've just started bringing the plants indoors at night and the kittens who are now a year old are not showing much interest in them. I'm hoping that they have outgrown their interest in plants but we shall see.

May be you should leave the peacock feathers packed away for a bit longer.

No, but there's certainly piles of .... stuff!!

So far, I've discovered the new loo seat, a double garden electric socket (with timer), my pink camping chair, Safe4 disinfectant and odour remover and a 15 metre hose reel, which I'm trying to put the handle on!!

Tie them on to a piece of string and attach that to the ceiling so that they're suspended about 18" above the ground.

There you go- cat entertainment centre. With any luck he'll tire himself out so much that he'll forget that he's a young tom cat who thinks he owns the world and start being a nice cat!

There are many places you can stick them. Alas, none are entirely suitable for a family forum.
