The Gift 3/10

I had high hopes for this as it stars a great actress, Rebecca Hall. And the online reviews I read gushed over it saying how clever & suspenseful it is, that it was one of the best thrillers made in years.

For sure it's very well made but I thought it was incredibly unpleasant and left a nasty taste in my mouth.

That is a good film. Even though I'm not a big fan of Leonardo Dicaprio. I watched it a few years back.

As for ' La La Land ', I think they should have cast Hugh Jackman instead

Star Trek: The Motion Picture - 6.5/10 - I'm more a casual fan than a Trekkie but quite enjoyed this despite it not being a favourite of the Trek crowd, some dated effects and the actors wearing too much make up detract a little.

Brilliant film. Violent and gory, yet emotional and thought provoking.
Agree with you Nikki

10/10

I've never seen scenes so graphic

A brilliant film and I thoroughly recommend it unless you have a weak stomach

A Cure for Wellness. 7/10

There aren't many 18 rated films these days, and I do get why this is but theres a couple of bits that are just wrong and could've easily been left out.
I enjoyed it but came out of the cinema thinking along the lines of 'what just happened!!?!!'

They did drag it out a bit too, but as I said I did enjoy it and would say it's worth a watch.

I want to see this. I heard that is similar to Shutter Island.
