What was the Don Howe early 80s football "coaching" TV series?

Recommended Posts

I remember a TV series on BBC2, i think it was, in the very early 80's, which was a coaching style football programme with former Arsenal manager and England coach, Don Howe.

Does anyone know what the series was called?

It was broadcast in the afternoon around 4pm, i think!

No. It was a really good programme with a very catchy them tune.

Any serious answers, please. :)

I know this had taken a very long time in finding, but the programme was called F.A.C.T.S.

It initially was shown on BBC1 in 1980, before the series was re run a number of times, in 1981 and 1983.

Charles Hughes coaching youngsters. No wonder we haven't won a trophy in half a century. :)

Don't know who Charles Hughes and Bill Taylor are and as for England's last trophy, they had some inept refereeing to decide it in the final.

Charles Hughes was a coach famous for his long ball tactics (see his wiki page). Howard Wilkinson often mentioned his name.
