LeMaquis   10 #5 Posted August 25, 2016 Only thing to clear up is why trains can overbook and overload when any other form of public transport can't?  Maybe because you can't book in advance for buses and trams.  ---------- Post added 25-08-2016 at 08:24 ----------  Traingate Smear Falls Apart  Corbyn set himself up for this. If he didn't know that there is CCTV on trains which could quite easily prove that the train wasn't ram-packed as he claims then he really is stupid. The fact that he walked from one end of the train to the other should have taught him that it wasn't indeed ram-packed.
 Share this content via...

Gamston   10 #7 Posted August 25, 2016 A schoolboy error from Corbyn.  ---------- Post added 25-08-2016 at 09:02 ----------  So he thinks he's smart enough to win a General Election ? At least it was only really a little white lie and not a huge big whopper like a previous Labour leader told about weapons of mass destruction
 Share this content via...
alchresearch   206 #8 Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) Corbyn first said there were no seats.  The CCTV footage was released.  His PR team said that the CCTV footage didn't show that there "may have been" children and luggage on the seats. No evidence to prove this. Why wasn't the luggage shifted? Unattended children?  Then he claimed it was so he could sit next to his wife.  So why isn't his wife on the floor with him?  Why sit on the floor if there were empty seats?  Why didn't he sit in an empty reserved seat until the occupant arrived at a later station? geared   268 #10 Posted August 25, 2016 and where is his wife in any of these shots?? It eventually looks like he sits alone in a relatively empty carriage.  For goodness sake why doesn't he just admit they just cocked up the PR stunt and move on?? Why can't he admit he was wrong?? redfox   10 #11 Posted August 25, 2016 You seem to be distracted from your opening salvo Sol.  The smear as you call it has hardly fallen apart - any comments on the article from the Spectator ?  Please don't tell us that all is rosy in the Labour world and when he is re-elected leader (as he will be) it will be full steam ahead to Number 10 which is so far removed from the reality of the position (172 MP's can't all be wrong can they) that old Jez and his groupies must be smoking some really good stuff to think it might happen.
