Tips for sleeping during these long warm nights

Go back to good old fashioned cotton sheets, rid yourselves of those 'light' togg summer duvets and throw off those jim-jams.

Cotton is good, just use a sheet or an empty duvet cover. A fan also works wonders.

A cool shower before bed and clean crisp sheets never fails for me, I agree with the previous poster good sheets are worth their weight in gold, the higher thread count the better.

Best advice I was ever given was to buy a high quality bed and bedding and never use conditioners with bedding, nothing better than freshly washed and iron bedding

I can't get beyond the concept of ironing bedding !

1200 weave Egyptian cotton, ironed of course and cotton pyjama shorts and a good quiet fan ( I find the Westinghouse in both my bedrooms are spot on).

I sleep with no cover and the windows open, it's fine, be pleased we don't have mosquitoes here yet!

Go onto solarium and sleep on sunbeds,cheaper than air con.

put some 2 litre mineral water bottles in your freezer when frozen put them in front of a fan hey presto air conditioning.

Seriously - life is FAR too short to be ironing bed sheets !!!
