Monday 20th: Jazz Jam

Our bi-monthly live Jazz session has arrived once again, now officially Sheffield's biggest pub jazz evening. A night giving the stage over to a whole host of local musicians and even some international visitors.

Expect beautiful ballads right through to burning Be-Bop; meaningful Mainstream to mad Modal; furious Funk to the frightfully Free; lively Latin to luscious Lounge; and classic Cool through to the curiously Contemporary!

Tuesday 21st: The Lowdown Acoustic Session

Hosted by Rob Lowdon, of Treebeard, Jabberwocky and a performer in his own right, this gently evening of acoustic music is open to all to listen, watch or join in. Each month's session also features a guest artist, this month's is Robin Hoare.

Robin Hoare has been described as “Sheffield’s favourite Bluesman”. In a near 20 year career he has forged a reputation as a fluent and powerful songwriter and an innovative, exciting guitar player.

His album “A Time and Place” received widespread praise in national music press. R2 called the album as “Dynamic and hugely enjoyable”, Guitar and Bass praised his “steely tone”. Blues Matters described it as “impressive”.
