Anyone know why the pub has closed again ?

It has a sign up seeking a new Landlord, so I suspect the previous one moved on.

Used to be a lovely pub right up until maybe 7/8 years ago.

When the landlord (John?) moved on it went gone progressively down hill.

When I last went in which was almost 8 years ago, I didn't get a good impression of the place.

Could have been longer then.

It was certainly a nice well looked after pub which was regularly busy. I seem to remember when they left it was unnecessarily, and poorly, redecorated and then went down a karaoke route for a while.

I went in about a year ago and it was untidy, dark and had little drink on pumps.

Absolute dive, went in there once and the place had kids running around the room on the left at about half 8 at night, screaming their heads off whilst their parents drunk. Ordered a glass of wine, downed it and left with lout paying.

Horrible place, but I left the victor.

It's a shame - hopefully it doesn't end up closing permanently.

Does anyone know what is happening with the Noah's at crookes?

Scaffold up and the front looks like it's being stripped - is the pub going to re-open?

they used to have a great quiz too.

I've not heard anything about it closing hopefully it's just a well overdue tidy up. Anyone know?
