Nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes - the American guitarist Doc Watson has died, aged 89. [Link]
I found his music when I was studying music and was bored of Hendrix and damp indie music, and the man blew me off my feet. One of the best guitarists ever to exist, by six million miles. I can highly recommend him if anyone is interested in American folk.

Certainly a consummate guitar picker. Not quite my cup of tea, but he did influence Clarence White (who unfortunately only made it to 29). Watson had a good innings (89).

You've gone from 'very very little' to 'very little'.
BBC 2 had some of Doc's music on last night too. A nice change.

I thought you'd be in awe at my reply, and how wonderfully witty it was.
Quick answer, no. I'm far too contentious.
