UKIP should have more MPs

The recent election announcement caused me to look back at the results of the 2015 election.

UKIP got 12% of the vote and Labour got 30%.

UKIP got 1 MP and labour got 232.

That's not democracy.

I live in Chesterfield. Labour or Lib will win the seat.

So if I wanted to vote Conservative my vote is literally pointless.

That's not democracy either.

Roughly the result should have been:

CON - 240

LAB - 198

UKIP - 82

LIB - 52

So why did the population not vote for Proportional Representation?

Don't they like their vote to be counted?

Why does UKIP need any MP's?

They have served their purpose, and caused the country to be split and removed from the EU.

They should disband and go back to their roots in Britain First, EDL, National Front etc. and stop wasting everyone's time.

People don't like the idea of the voters for smaller parties getting another vote if their candidate loses.

Soon Labour will be disbanded and go back to their Communist roots, and stop wasting everybody's time. After that I expect UKIP will do fine.

People don't like the idea of the voters for smaller parties getting another vote if their candidate loses.

Mainstream parties favour FPTP because it scuppers the chances of so-called "extreme" parties like UKIP.

Now their aim is achieved, the really need a revamped name. UKIP is looking a bit old hat.

I think that's a big strong. I admit that Labour are socialist and authoritarian, but I'd stop short of comparing them to Hitler's lot.

Because 12% of the electorate voted for them and they deserve their seat at the table?

Just because you don't agree with their politics doesn't mean that they should be excluded....that would be dictatorship

Perhaps if PR had been one of UKIPs policies, but their backers were all Tories, so they want the Conservatives in power.
