999tigger   10 #3 Posted November 4, 2013 Go to Howden House or the property shop opposite. You can also call Shleter on their helpline(they are busy) http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice/homelessness  Eveything is in the link.  They also have an office close by so going on person might be less frustrating.  Furnival House 48 Furnival Gate, Sheffield 0844 515 1980
 Share this content via...
the_bloke   17 #4 Posted November 4, 2013 Go to Howden house and present yourself as homeless!  Without qualifying for having priority, there isn't much point. If the OP has children, then the council has a duty of care to house the children and responsible parent(s).  To the OP, don't let anyone tell you that you that having a job is a barrier is getting a home on priority, as it isn't providing you qualify. I was given priority for domestic violence reasons and I work full time. I was given a housing association flat. (The number quoted above is for another part of Shelter, who would be happy to redirect if you did call and is now 0344 rather than 0844.)  Hope you or whoever who are enquiring on behalf of gets sorted very soon x
 Share this content via...
