Spring/summer weather thread 2017

Looks like there's nothing following on from 2016 so here goes.

It has (in my observation) been unusually cool and dry. I was walking through a silage meadow in Ringinglow on Sunday and the grass wasn't much longer than my lawn, whereas farmers have often made first cut by early/mid May.

As to my lawn, staying cooler for longer means crocus leaves still haven't died back, so I can't mow, meaning it's getting as long as aforesaid silage meadow.

....and as mentioned to bookend the winter weather post elegantly, my fig tree got battered by whatever the weather did last week.

Spring looks to have started early, but stalled significantly.

Yeah. Summed it up pretty well really.

Started early but it's not peaked at all yet.

Today looks quite sunny:cool:.Someone told me it was supposed to get really warm soon, too.

I like to wear shorts sandals nice polo shirt and omega watch in the summer with brut aftershave

Great. I'm going to end up with panda eyes, and my face getting washed down the street,lol:hihi: At least the plants will get some water.

It's nice up Lodge Moor. I'm sure Sheffield will get some sunny days soon.

Yes plants and lawn needs the water bad my 3 rain tubs empty

It's been an interesting few days. Not hated the heat as much as I usually do but at the same time the sweating and frizzy hair is awful.

Me and g/f have been out all day in the boxer engined, open-top Alcomobile 1 on the first proper picnic of the season in Derbyshire. Scorching weather, very lovely, very red.
