As for the old Betta Living shop, what makes anyone think they would do any better with kitchens, again next to Ikea who also sell kitchens?  This is either made up, or the companies going in here will be gone within the year. It could give them a push, it could make them sink, depends on consumer, are they going to be frustrated in ikea and race to b living or not? geared   268 #104 Posted August 7, 2017 Just google shops next to Ikea Leeds and shops next to Ikea Nottingham and count the amount of furniture shops!  In all fairness there is method to the madness.  It basically means if you want furniture you go to a certain place, and hey-presto you've got a choice of several stores to pick from. You don't like the beds in Ikea? No problem, try the ones in Oak Furnature land right next door!  That draws in more customers and sucks them away from other areas. You're not going to drive out of your way to visit one store, when all the others are clustered on the other side of town.
 Share this content via...

Look at both Ikea sites now. I bet that empty co-op unit will be snapped up soon. Oh and costa coffee is going in the old carphone warehouse shop.  ---------- Post added 07-08-2017 at 12:41 ----------  This seems dumb, a new furniture retailer next to Ikea?
