Rickiethecat: Yes, well done to Murray on reaching the Wimbledon final without beating a single decent opponent.
Honestly, people are so naive sometimes. For years the Wimbledon organisers have been fixing the draw to ensure British players get as easy a ride as possible - why do you think mummy's boy Henman reached so many semi finals? They know that public interest (and thus ticket sales and TV coverage) will only last as long as a British player remains in the contest.
This year for example, the draw was fixed to ensure Murray couldn't meet either Federer or Djokovic before the final, so once Nadal got knocked out, Murray couldn't have had an easier run than if he'd been asked to play against one of the ball boys.
To be a truly great sportsman you have to play against and beat the best. Murray can't do that.
Six45ive: Unfortunately Murray is living in an era where we have the most natural and best tennis player that there's ever been (Federer) and a couple of very good, strong autonomons in Djorkovic and Nadal. Murray has more natural talent than either of Federer's also rans but he lacks the physical strength and stamina and mental strength/aptitude combined with poor decision making.
Personally I think it's highly unlikely that Murray will ever win one of the big four and if he does it will be because the other 3 are either injured, ill or have other priorities in their lives which has been Federer's situation for the last couple of years. The way Federer demolished Djorkovic and then did the same to Murray after a nervous first set shows that nobody is anywhere near him when he's on grass and at his best.

Totally Bull and only Jealous a Scot is the best player Britain has had
Murray beat Federer in the final for Gold at the Olympics 3 sets to O
and thats one top prize both Federer or the others would have wanted
believe you me i heard Federer wanted the one he hasnt won
But winning breeds confidence and Murray also went onto win
the USA Open and being in a final 5 times without success
he deserved a hard fought win V Djorkovic
and so became both Scotland and Britains very 1st winner since Fred Perry
many moons ago ..
I reckon like Ivan Lendl whom also lost in 4 finals before he won Wimbledon
So Lendl knew what Murray was going through and it was a mental block
and with the winning of the Gold medal at Wimbledon with the Olympic final and getting his own back on losing the Wimbledon final not long before the Olympics v Federer then Murray got his own back and winning 3/0 in sets at that ..As Federer himslef and Nadal sais just 2 yrs ago , he Andy Murray its only a matter of time before he wins a grandslam and when he wins one he shall win others ..Murray also like both Nadal <-- whom had or still has a knee injury and depending on injuries in tennis as this can stop a player in his career as you need to be 100 percent fit for such a game ..
And then we have Federer whom soon shall bow out of the game possibly through age ..and were left with Djorkovic and Murray and maybe another shall come through soon who knows ?
But both these guys Murray is young at 25 yrs of age and has time on his side
for sure and i take him certainly to win more big finals
as he has his head planted firmly in the right place, has sacrificed much to get so far , remember he was playing tennis in Scotland and there was no competition in Britain as was winning easily the tournaments when young
so his Mother had went over to stay in Spain with Andy Murray as better players and warmer weather for tennis , he then was getting better and was then winning all before him and then they headed for Florida in the USA
its where all the very top class players are , he was showing much promise
and so he entered competitions in Florida and such in the USA
all without us all knowing a thing ..he often then played v Federer and Nadal
and Djorkovic and apart from a touch maybe not quite strong enough
he got better with much practice and playing the best and eventually winning v them as much as they were winning v him in matches not on tv
he was winning he sais himself as many games v the top players
He worked hard to get where he got and was only a matter of time
and i always said getting Ivan Lendl as a trainer a guy whoms been through
similar 4 finals and lost all until he cracked it , this has helped Murray
and now he ahs won that gold medal at the Olympics in London
And the confidence that has had on him , he then carried such into the final
of the USA Open in where he won v Djorkovic and he wont win them all as shall be odd tournament he wont do quite so well in BUT i can Guarantee
he shall win more Biggies for Scotland and Britain
