johnsbucket 10 #1 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) Gran's Homemade Soup Gran would say come in out of the cold, You will catch your death, I was often told, Get your sen a bowl and pull up a chair, I’ve some homemade soup we can both share, It’s a recipe passed down from me mother, And as soup goes there aint no other, What’s in it then? I said to Gran, Is it like that stuff from out of a can? You cheeky beggar she said to me, You will have to wait and see, There she stood stirring with ladle, Then put bowl full on’t table, Now then lad blow it cos it be rite hot, It will warm thee up I kid you not, We will call it farmhouse this soup she med, Eeh lad does tha want some bread, Yes please Gran, so she cut me a slice, I dipped it into soup, it tasted right nice, Gran was right it was bloody good, It warmed me up like she knew it would, Thy taste with thee tongue, and look with thee eyes, But content look on thee face aint no surprise, Gran well she was a feisty old chuff, But when it comes to cooking she knew her stuff. johnsbucket Edited March 17, 2014 by johnsbucket Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
