Turn Up's Nightclub Memories (80's)

I remember seeing Johnny Kidd and the Pirates at Nether Edge Hall in the early 60s

I worked for Les and Betty Vickers the owners forget the name of the manager lasted quiet a long time David I think his name was

David Jameson he was the manager of the Crazy Daizy before that.

I went to the Nether Edge Turn Ups regularly between 1978 and 1981.

I certainly remember it 1976- 77.

Friday & Saturday night was the big thing - loved it! I lived in Tavistock Rd just in Nether Edge so it was not far to stagger home!

My best friends were Catherine McCourt and Robin Richardson - think he might have worked there as a pot man?

I remember having my purse stolen from my handbag in there whilst dancing around it!

TurnUps was a filthy dump, I worked there for a short while under the regime of a Scottish psychopath called David.

I think u must have known him very well
