Who to take a Parakeet to?

Recommended Posts

My kids parakeet has developed a limp and he seems out of sorts so i want to get him looked at. Ive rung my usual dog vet but they dont specialise and rather than Google some jonny random id like to know if anyone on here uses a vet who specialises in birds and is good at their job. Id ideally like it to be in Sheffield but anywhere close would do as well.

Thanks :)

I highly highly recommend William Taylor at Springfield Vets on Moorgate Road in Rotherham. It's only a little further out that Sheffield, but we live in Oughtibridge and take all of our pets to them.

We initially were recommended William for our parrots as a lot of vets don't have the knowledge to operate on them etc and William has saved a couple of our parrots lives over the years, and since developing so much trust and faith in him we take all of our animals to him and he has always been fantastic.

You can go to him with complete faith that he will do the absolute best for your pet and will only do what is necessary unlike some sad cases you hear where it's all for the money.

Good luck and I hope the little one's leg is better soon.

Another one here who can recommend Springfield Veterinary Group - William Taylor is the guy to see as he sees all sorts of avians on a regular basis.

In fact Springfield have a number of brilliant vets :)
