mossdog   10 #49 Posted June 4, 2016 Possible grounds for objection actually from the Core Strategy document   You could argue that this one will be out of character and shouldn't be approved.    You might have to check the actual size of the site and see if it complies with this.  That came from here btw https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/planning-and-city-development/planning-documents/sheffield-plan.html  ---------- Post added 04-06-2016 at 09:25 ----------   I can't find a planning application for it https://planningapps.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/pagedSearchResults.do?action=page&searchCriteria.page=1  Can someone find it? .........not sure it ever got to the full planning application stage! If it did I suspect the intial application will have been withdrawn.
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #50 Posted June 4, 2016 Found it, approved in Jan  https://planningapps.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=NI4NNJNYFY000  ---------- Post added 04-06-2016 at 09:50 ----------  https://planningapps.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/files/9A167D15AF5201BD06F65F5E2F9DEF8C/pdf/15_00122_FUL-BUILDING_AREAS-853604.pdf  Good overview of the initial application.  Total area of the site is 50k sqr metres with 32k being the footprint for building. So what's that in hectares... 3.2 hectares. 30 dwellings per hectare in a rural area would have given them a max of 96, so they're within the guidelines for density and it wouldn't be considered high density at all! (High density would be over double that).
 Share this content via...
mossdog   10 #51 Posted June 4, 2016 It appears they the builders have now gone back on their agreement as to how much they were required to donate to the Social housing funds out of the profits gained from the whole enterprise . After agreed initial valuations as to what the final profit margins would be,it seems that the builders do not now agree with the valuations and so do not want to contribute the initial agreed percentage to the social housing fund!...........so a standoff is the order of the day....presumably till the builders get what they want! Nicotrod   10 #52 Posted June 6, 2016 Nether Edge- close to town yet lots of green areas and all the facilities you need on Abbeydale Road.  Dore- quiet, close to the Peaks  Greystones- close to town, Ecclesall Road, Endcliffe Park etc. Feels safe and family friendly.
