Paddocks Farm, Heeley

Recommended Posts

I am new on this site, doing some research looking for information on my ancestors. I can't physically come to England so I'm trying to do the best I can via the internet.

My Great Grandfather was William James Needham of Paddocks Farm, Heeley, Gleadless. Born 'around' 1877. Fathers name could have been James.

Great Grandmother: Gertrude Ellen Carrington Born June 5 1876. They were married at the Parish Church Heeley on June 5 1895.

Gertrudes parents were Charles and Matilda (nee Ward) Carrington. Gertrudes sisters were Lelia Matilda Carrington, who married Thomas Henery Norris of Fansworth Lancashire 1900. Other sister, Amy, married Go. Herbert Berresford at Parish Church Woodhouse 1911.

Trying to get information on these people, as well as Woodhouse Cemetery, and a contact for them or website. If anyone knows anything please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks in advance for help or suggestions.

Gwen

Hi Gwen, I believe we are related because we have the same grandparents. They are buried in Burlington, Ontario, Canada in Woodland's Cemetery. You can contact me at [email protected]. Hope you do. Marilyn

From family lore I have heard Gertrude's mother was a Lady in Waiting to Queen Victoria and her father was a gunbearer to Albert.
