McGugan & Dielna

What a strange situation with these two players still being at Hillsborough..

McGugan's last game in the first team was around 13 months ago & Dielna even longer than that..neither has a squad number this season and they train with the reserves away from the first team squad....

Obviously Carlos doesn't rate either of them but as professional footballers,you would think they have agents looking after their interests and that playing on a regular basis in someone's first team would be better than not playing at all....i can't believe a club somewhere wouldn't want either player

Another transfer window has come and gone and both players are still here taking a wage off the club...would it not be in everyone's interest to come to an agreement & terminate their contract's ...?

These avenues will have been explored. It must be that both are content to pick up their £X,000 (or is it £XX,000?) a week for a little light training. A shame because that cash should be put to better use. A lot of money has been wasted at Hillsborough since Milan left.

A shocking situation, McGugan in particular could be a regular in many a Championship side but prefers to waste his years in the wilderness, he may not look back on his decision so fondly in later years.

McGugan dunt like work anyway, so he can always sit in front of the fire with his pipe and slippers and count his ill gotten gains.

Nice retirement if you can get it.

I would think both the club and the players have been in touch with there respective advisors about the situation and this is the outcome. A Mexican stand-off.

Maybe it's their wages that are putting other clubs off.

It's only a thought I dn't know how much they are on.

How could a striker who's only be with the club a few weeks replaced an attacking midfielder??
