CorkerSWFC 10 #1 Posted February 20, 2017 Jim had been fighting leukaemia and more recently, was hospitalised with pneumonia. Everyone at Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA is saddened by this news and our thoughts and condolences go to Jim’s family and friends at this sad time. Jim was a devoted husband to Pauline and loving father to Tracy and Joanne. He has been involved in football for over 30 years starting out as the Bay Horse secretary. Jim worked tirelessly for the league, clubs involved and was highly respected. Jim made many good friends in football which has kept him active for a very long time and he had, only in recent years, given up refereeing. Jim worked closely with all Sheffield Sunday leagues and S&HCFA. He is a highly respected figure in the sport and will be sorely missed. The family have asked for privacy at this time. RIP Jim Briggs - won't be forgotten.
 Share this content via...
