Tommo68 Â Â 10 #3 Posted May 24, 2015 Try running this through a search engine "cyclists hit pedestrians in hit and run accidents" Â There are increasing numbers of these incidents being reported according to some sources. Â One of the main issues raised is that pedal cyclists do not have a number plate nor is their ownership of the pedal cycle registered in such as way as to help their victims or the authorities hold them accountable for their actions. Â Even if they were more easily traceable unfortunately the likelihood is that they are not insured and will remain so until some of them do start getting sued for damages. Then perhaps they will be looking for 3rd party insurance and in turn the insurance companies will start to insist on proof of competence to ride, something which successive governments have failed to do. . Tommo68 Â Â 10 #8 Posted May 24, 2015 The likelihood is that you just made this all up. Â To you it might seem that way or more likely.... Â could it be that you are unable to refute what I said so you thought you would try a rather poor put down. Â Did you even bother to try running that phrase through a search engine? In case yuo did not know you can copy and paste it into the address bar or just type it in the same place. . .
 Share this content via...
Owethemnowt   10 #9 Posted May 24, 2015 And are we to believe the bus was empty of passengers, as no-one saw it and spoke to the driver?  If the cyclist is at fault then how do you view the actions of the bus driver who failed to stop? The cyclist was 100% at fault. Watch the video. The bus drivers actions or rather lack are secondary. The impact was caused by the Lycra Muppet. Ok..... for the pedants who will be here soon, he should have checked mirrors on completion of the turn but I suspect he was more concerned with his direction of travel and looking ahead - perhaps for a cyclist who couldn't see his bus:hihi:!
