summer64   10 #1 Posted February 1, 2015 Hello  I'm advertising because I wanting to adopt a dog. I was going to buy a dog from a breeder but my partner convinced me to advertise for one that's in desperate need of re-homing. I do already own a 1 yro male terrier (of types) that has also been adopted after it's owner couldnt look after him anymore. Ideally the dog would be around the same sex, age and of any breed (staffys/pitbulls excluded) and be good around children. I do understand that getting rid of a beloved pet can be hard and that's why I'm willing to let you have regular visits until you're satisfied your dog is in great hands.  If you're dog needs rehoming and you dont want it ending up in a rescue centre or worse get in contact and we'll chat  Thanks.. Pit bulls are illegal so you shouldn't have one of those anyway.  Good luck!
 Share this content via...

earthdragon   10 #4 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) I got my lovely rescue Jack Russell from the local branch of the RSPCA and if I wanted to adopt another dog, I would definitely opt for a rescue dog, rather than go to a breeder.  The RSPCA charge a fee and, as well as asking questions re your suitability, they also visit you at home to check that there is enough space for the dog to exercise and feel safe.  Don't be prejudiced against Staffies by the way. They are no worse than any other breed. It is the owner who makes a dog bad, not the dog itself.  One thing I would add though, is that I would never leave a small child alone with a dog of any breed, no matter how small and seemingly harmless, or how long it has been with the family.
