CashBack13 10 #4 Posted April 26, 2011 lol @ £3.10 for a pint of Carling. They'll be out of business by xmas. -------------------------------------------------------- well when the only pub nearby they have to compete with is the equally pricey Prince of Wales they can charge those sort of prices wouldn't get away with it as much if they were 1/2 a mile or so down the road
 Share this content via...
Gram? 10 #5 Posted April 26, 2011 I'll sup anywhere between 50-70 pints in an evening (depending on if I've eaten or not) so it really adds up!
 Share this content via...

Such ridiculous statements merely make anything you say a little pointless. It is a punch leased pub and has to charge those prices to make anything! But it is also in S11 making a little easier for it to go unnoticed.
 Share this content via...

Noob 10 #9 Posted April 26, 2011 (edited) I'll sup anywhere between 50-70 pints in an evening (depending on if I've eaten or not) so it really adds up! Used to know a lad in there who knocked back 30 pints a night, now he slows down and has 20-25 due to the price increase. He takes his car now as he says he `drinks less`. So just thinking about the volume you consume 39 litres or 8.5 gallons. Or around 190 units of alcohol, Doctors would not reccomend exceding 21 a week!
