Recommended Posts

I just read in Derbyshire Times that Dennis Skinner is in hospital with a low count of red blood cells.

It's good news that he is at home resting and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Perhaps he should now retire. I remember when Dennis Skinner said "All MPs should retire by the time they are 65, so as not to take another man's job" I guess he meant all MPs except him.

I love Dennis. He livens up the House of Commons. There's no one like him, and no one to replace him. Long may he continue. Get well soon Mr Skinner.

Another Champagne socialist?.

Nevertheless, get well soon.

At least he livens up Parliament with his outlandish outbursts..

Yep, well past time to retire, the man must be going on for 90. They should definitely retire at normal retirement age. Let some one else have a go.

By-election coming up soon, hopefully. Hope he makes a good recovery and takes it as a wake up call.

Although he can be rude and nasty and he supported Scargill and his bullying thugs, most of his life he has stood up for what is right.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

I find his sarcastic one liners to Black Rod, or which ever minor dignitary happens to be in his eyeline on the state opening of parliament to be very funny. Beats all the nauseating bowing and scraping that usually passes for convention.
