Transfering to a sd card

i have recently bought a hudle tablet it is good but I have installed a micro sd card 32gb as recommended. I can see it but I cannot actually use it. when linked to my laptop I can see anything I have put on it but cant use it

They may read different formats. For instance my pc will see just about anything, but for xbox you need to format to FAT32 for files to be recognised.

I don't think this is the case but I think I am missing something that will read the files I transfer

Download ES File Explorer from the play store - this should let you see the files.

Another tip for you - there is a good video player called MX Player which should play almost any video file if the built in one doesn't.

Format to Fat32, I'm not sure if Android can see NTFS or exFAT.

 

Annoyingly Windows 7 doesn't have an option to format to FAT32 anymore, you need to download a 3rd party app for that.

 

FAT32 is the file system with the most compatibility with all devices.

All my Win 7 machines have the option to format FAT32

There's a size limit on the FAT32 formats you can do IIRC, so it might be showing it can on some smaller memory cards.

I'm using Win7 Ultimate.. just tried to format an existing disk and it only gives me the option of NTFS.... (obviously I just went through the motions to see what options it gave me)
