Cheerleading for a 17 Year old.

Recommended Posts

:help:

Hi,

I'm currently 17 years old (18 in November) and I'm looking to start cheerleading or gymnastics.

Also I used to do a lot of dance lessons and I did gymnastics at Don Valley for a year or so but I was at an age where when my friend quit I wasn't to keen on keeping it up without her and in the end my parents couldn't afford to keep sending me.

I really want to get back into it now I have job and can pay for myself for these things and I would love to start cheerleading. I live in the S4 area but I would be willing to travel a little bit. Anyone know where there are any good classes/squads around Sheffield?

Thank you!

Beth x

We take cheerleaders up to age 19 and run classes in Totley on Friday nights!!

All info on our website (below) We teach both cheer (stunts & tumbling) and Pom dance for age 4+ split by age and ability!

If you have danced or done gym before that would be a great advantage!

STORM Allstars currently have a team that would suit you by the sounds of it.

We are the only team in South Yorkshire to train on a full sprung gymnastics floor in a specialist gymnastics centre at the Rotherham School of Gymnastics. We have girls that used to be at Don Valley gymnastics too (obviously I'm not going to name them on here!) and sessions include stunting, jumps, dance and tumbling skills even for beginners.

It's 5 minutes from the Rotherham train station and we arrange transport for all our girls to be collected and dropped off there if they live in Sheffield.

If you would like to come and give us a go please visit our website http://www.sheffieldstorm.weebly.co.uk and fill in a contact form or 'like' our page on facebook under Storm Allstars.

Sessions run on Thursday nights 6-8pm and Saturdays 3-6pm, payments for both are made weekly and are £5 and £6 respectively.

We're a really friendly inclusive program always looking for new members to join our cheer family so come down, see what you think and get involved in the fantastic sport that is cheerleading!
