Why did he have to go, the silly old moo? RIP Mr. Mitchell, you gave me many hours of belly laughter as Alf Garnett.

Used to love the Till Death Us Do Part film and the episode of In Sickness And In Health where he gets stuck in the window is a classic.

An instituation for those of us that are a certain age.

I grew up watching Alf garnett,still watch episodes now occasionally as do me kids.It was always on at 9pm.

God Bless you Warren Mitchell,lovely bloke,met him outside covent garden one afternoon,we talked for hours.

Alf Garnett was a star

 

He was at that, ironically AG's character was intentionally used to satirise yourself and those like you...you never seen it coming, and still don't can't.

 

WM..a great great loss.
