Won a bid on a housing association property. questions?

Just wondering if anyone can help. I won a bid on a housing association property through the main council system. How easy is it to actually get through their application process and procedures?

What sort of a tenancy am I likely to get?

How stringent are they with the right number of bedrooms to tenants?

how happy are they with people on benefits?

We now live with Guinness Northern Counties. It was quite easy to get through the process, and any queries they had they just rang and asked for clarification. We have a starter tenancy, I think for 12 months then if everything is ok we'll automatically change to a secure tenancy, or they could extend the starter tenancy. They are usually very stringent with the right number of bedrooms, if you bid through the council process you should have the correct number of bedrooms anyway. They are very happy with people on benefits. Tell us more!
