jemson   10 #1 Posted March 14, 2017 Anyone signed up ? There have been a few mentions of it on other threads.  Not sure whether me or my OH will do it this year but at least one of us will although we need to up the miles now!  It is now a challenging route and a real city event. Fudbeer   12 #3 Posted March 14, 2017 Yep I'm in again!  Looking for 1.50 again.  Top tip ,train on hills, the climb is not that bad leave some in the tank for the downhill (mostly) second half.  Been doing it for years great way to measure your fitness annually.  Would love to train harder for this but always ends up with injuries (Achilles and knee) just got some hoka cliftons to help with this. jemson   10 #8 Posted March 20, 2017 I`m a bit short on miles tbh. (Longest run has been one 12.5 this year and a few 9s). Did Dronfield 10k yesterday and really pushed it. Not sure about SHM, not entered yet. OH is doing Monsall Trail HM next weekend so maybe I will enter. Really looking forward to the Round though. Guest   #9 Posted March 23, 2017 singed up and training, my first big run in UK:)  ---------- Post added 26-03-2017 at 17:53 ----------  That part, from early Ecclesall road up, to Norfolk arms, is hardest. If you mess that up, you mess the whole race.
 Share this content via...

achorste   10 #12 Posted March 29, 2017 Its too dangerous That's why I'm not taking part  It should be banned  In what way is it dangerous? With zero traffic the emergency vehicles can get through quicker than ever, it encourages people to be more active improving health & reduces burden on NHS, it's a community event that brings thousands to the city centre spending their money in Sheffield.  It's a winning situation if you ask me
 Share this content via...
