Art history course: Beyond First Impressions

BEYOND FIRST IMPRESSIONS is a 5 week art history course I will be running in Autumn 2017 at the Art House in Sheffield city centre.

It is designed to appeal to people who have no formal art training and who may feel intimidated by the jargon and academic snobbery sometimes attached to the subject: the course is art appreciation for the ‘man in the street’.

My aim is to enhance your appreciation of art and artists through the centuries and to build your confidence when viewing (or doing) art.
