Bread's Aveline Dead At 50

Recommended Posts

Sad news for us who loved this sit-com: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2010/07/15/bread-star-actress-gilly-coman-dies-from-suspected-heart-attack-100252-26857955/

The article states she was 54 but this is incorrect.

Her death comes shortly after that of Geoffrey Hutchings who played Mel in Benidorm, Wikipedia link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoffrey_Hutchings

Both were brilliant in their respective roles and will be missed (in fact, Benidorm will never be the same without Mel).

Oh, I didn't know that! I loved Mel. Can't believe he's dead, are you sure he's not going to resurrect again, like he's done so often in Benidorm?:hihi:

Such a fab comedy actress. Absolutely loved bread. We used to watch it as a family (which was rare tbh). It was never the same when she left.

RIP Gilly
