Kermode is a horror fan which is why his list has several horror films (Exorcist at No1...shocka!). Ross is a fan of Asian cinema/anime which is why his list has several of those. Preferring JR's choices to MK doesn't mean that JR has more knowledge than MK as you suggested.  Personally I'd clip them both around the ears and ask them how they missed off A Matter Of Life And Death. Well he mentioned it in the first few seconds followed by his usual inuendo joke introducing the Three puffs and a piano . I see his ego is still in tact LOL I Turned Off .
