rudds1 Â Â 102 #2 Posted February 18, 2016 Why not just get a belt that's deff for a 1.4 ?
 Share this content via...
Leannez86 Â Â 10 #3 Posted February 18, 2016 Because I have a new engine that's was sold to me as a 1.4 engine I am changing the belt and the number on it comes back as a 1.1 belt so either a 1.1 belt fits a 1.4 engine or the engine is really a 1.1 not a 1.4!! Leannez86 Â Â 10 #5 Posted February 18, 2016 I don't have a clue tbh it's gone to a garage I was just asking in case it came back worst case scenario and it is a 1.1 engine sold as a 1.4 as it's going in a original 1.4 with a 1.4 gear box
 Share this content via...
geared   302 #6 Posted February 18, 2016 Doubt the belts will fit between those two.  Not many 206's came with a 1.1, it was more often found in the 106.
 Share this content via...
Leannez86 Â Â 10 #7 Posted February 18, 2016 So does that mean it's more then likely a 1.1 engine or a 1.1 belt could have been made to fit a 1.4 confused.com also if it is a 1.1 will it fit with my gearbox???
 Share this content via...
Dardandec   32 #8 Posted February 18, 2016 Its highly likely the 1.4 has a longer stroke than the 1.1 so would be too short, not by much but enough to make a difference I would have thought.
 Share this content via...
Leannez86 Â Â 10 #9 Posted February 18, 2016 OK so would the 1.1 engine fit in the car with the same gearbox?
 Share this content via...
