Stationary cars engine running

The fact that diesels are more polluting than petrol is not new.

About twenty or more years ago one of my work colleagues, who was into saving the planet, decided not to buy a diesel as the research she had done showed they were more polluting than petrol

The government knew as well, but decided to ignore all the known facts and chase CO2 numbers as that was 'in vogue'.

The days of modern diesels sounding like tractors is a myth. Most modern diesels purr quietly.

I forget my partner's car is a diesel. I think I've only filled it up three times in 6 months though

But they still give off a helluva stink.

Dunno what it's like your side o'penines, but the buses here give off clouds of black smog whenever they accelerate.

same here honda civic 2.2 diesel may be loud but will do 100 miles on a tenner

Honda Civic diesel is a pensioners car.

Honda Civic CRX Vtec YO! is a chav car.

But they still give off a helluva stink.

thank you! I would sway more towards the vw with the chav wagon to be honest.

There's one across from where I live who leaves his ticking over in a morning. Anyone would think a tractors outside.

My partner has a diesel honda crv, he's 24. I have a honda civic petrol. I'm 24. The honda jazz is more for the pensioners in my experience.
