The Counselor
7/10 Ridley Scott so beautifully shot, written by Cormac McCarthy (who wrote No Country for Old Men) but an obfuscated plot makes it difficult to get into

District 9

The most bizarre, but brilliant sci-fi I have ever watched.

Highly recommended.

Byzantium - 5/10 - Story of two 200yr old vampire girls living in a rundown modern day seaside town, well made but slow and confusing. Gemma Arterton

A bit generous, that; I'd say maybe 6.5 to 7. But Matthew McC is gaunt and certainly a 'method actor'! The other cast members are utterly credible too.

Worth watching just so you can tell others how bad it is.

Well a difference in opinions makes the world rotate but we're not too far apart.

Welcome To The Punch - 5/10 - Total style over substance as a decent premise becomes a very shallow film.

Stallone and Schwarzenegger and I actually did not got bored.

Homefront....6/10

Jason Statham protects family but James Franco is just not a villain.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

We watched oblivion - I didn't think it was bad. Beautifully shot and the plot was ok in a matrix meets wall-e sort of way. Could have been shorter. 6/10

I guess it wasnt too bad, specially when you compare it to After Earth which I watched last night, it was absolutely abysmal and confirmed to me that the entire Smith family are all horrible.
