Lee Morris rejects blades!

Recommended Posts

Lee Morris today turned down the chance to join Sheffield united to go and join Leicster city instead! As far as i'm aware it wasn't just wages that stopped the move, the agents involved were discussing their share of the deal! With Carl Court off to wolves we have only signed Paul Shaw and Alan Wright on a permanent deal, When Robinson goes we will have just Sturridge left on loan and we don't have a big enough squad to cope with any injuries, this when John Curtis has gone to Portsmouth on a free and Jon Harley is not certain on his future, it would have been a gamble but we need to dig a bit deeper to get these players.

Wasn't that guy an ex-United player?

Sucks big time.

He did, he was sold to Derby in '98 for 3m, but never really hit it off big time then an injury put him further down the pecking order there, he had some pace on him which is what the blades need at the mo up front, with Ndlovu coming back we should have that and some needed width.

Lets see what we get from the next few games. I'm hoping the defeat at norwich isnt the end of our push for automatic promotion.

Could do with a 20 goal hitman. Anyone know of one going cheap???!!

Fancy Harry Bassett and Mickey Adams nicking a player from under our noses, gits :) Thought he would have been a nice addition to the squad as well.

There seems to be a PR argument over this, United claim that Morris's agents had the papers two days before he went to Leicster and Morris says He was told by the blades to wait another week to sign (a week isn't long anyway!) but i'm not sure if that came via the agents. But because this isn't Man utd or Chelsea it doesn't get mentioned except in local news.
