Favourite sandwich as a kid..

Looking back to when I was a nipper we didn't have the variety of ready made junk food that is available for kids today, so we had to invent our own and we weren't bad at it either...

My favorites where bread and sugar, bread butter and brown sauce and the beautiful ever popular bread and dripping..........

What was the weirdest one's you can remember ?

Bread and dripping with salt, or potted meat. The lady next door to us used to give me a sandwiches of sliced apples with sugar on!

Yes Mr.H. forgot about them but I was about 30 when I first had one. was working at a house and the lady gave me that same sandwich on a fresh oven-bottom bread cake. Whoa....

Yes Hillsbro's started us off now, just went out and bought a jar of beetroot, got no piccallii tho' it'll have to be Branston's.
